S-Lay Experience
S-lay barge work constitutes a major part of the business revenue for PIH and is a significant part of our operation. PIH has developed equipment especially for working horizontally that assists with health and safety as well as improving cycle times. Importantly PIH also has bespoke field joint coating systems such as the PP tape wrap joint that are not only technically compliant with the requirements of technologically advanced factory coating systems but are also highly adapted to working on s-lay barges.
J-Lay Experience
In the last few years PIH has developed and purpose built an inventory of vertical blasting, heating and coating equipment to support the array of services that are offered in horizontal mode. This initiative has been a significant investment in time and resources and our clients can now be assured that all the experience and skills that PIH has developed from our s-lay work will now be combined with state art vertical joint coating equipment to provide the best coating service in the industry.
